Background: Neoadjuvant chemotherapy has been used to downstage locally advanced ER+/HER2- breast cancer with low response rates. The optimal neoadjuvant regimen for this population is unknown.

Patients And Methods: Between 2017 and 2022, 192 patients (ages 28-78) with stage II/III ER+/Her2- breast cancer at our institution were evaluated.

Background: Atezolizumab plus bevacizumab is the standard of care for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in the first-line setting, although was only evaluated in patients with Child-Pugh (CP) A liver function in the IMbrave150 trial. We sought to determine the outcomes of these patients based on CP score and ALBI grade in the US population.

Methods: This multicenter cohort study included patients with HCC who received atezolizumab with bevacizumab as first-line systemic therapy between March 2018 and November 2023.

Psoriasis Flare-Up in a Patient Treated With Docetaxel for Metastatic Prostate Cancer.

Dermatologic toxicities, such as urticaria and mucositis, with docetaxel, have been commonly reported; however, fixed-plaque erythrodysesthesia is a rare adverse phenomenon with a reported incidence of less than 5% of patients. Docetaxel-induced psoriasis is extremely rare, and to date, very few cases have been reported in the literature. We present a literature review of psoriasis cases secondary to docetaxel and report our own case of severe docetaxel-induced psoriasis in the setting of treatment of metastatic prostate cancer.

An Unusual Presentation of Spontaneous Rupture of Dermoid Cyst.

Intracranial dermoid cysts are exceptionally rare tumors. Interestingly, this condition has a low mortality rate but a high morbidity rate due to its numerous complications. We report a case of a 62-year-old man who presented with a headache and was found to have a ruptured dermoid cyst, complicated with the dissemination of lipid droplets within the subarachnoid space.

Acute eosinophilic pneumonia (AEP) is an increasingly rare side effect that can manifest after its use. Our patient is a 79-year-old male who was admitted for a left total knee arthroplasty infection.

Life-threatening sustained hypocalcemia following Denosumab use in metastatic prostate cancer.

Introduction: Prostate cancer is the second most frequently diagnosed cancer among men worldwide in 2020. Skeletal-related events (SRE) like pathologic fracture or spinal cord compression are commonly seen in metastatic prostate cancer. Denosumab, a monoclonal antibody, acts by inhibiting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption in bone metastasis from solid tumors and reduces bone turnover and destruction.

A Rare Case of Gemella haemolysans Infection of Knee Arthroplasty.

Gemella haemolysans is a facultative, catalase-negative, anaerobic, gram-positive cocci. It is known to mostly cause endocarditis, meningitis, peritonitis, and cerebral abscesses. However, it is extremely rare for this organism to cause infections of an orthopedic nature, with only a single report of infection in total knee arthroplasty (TKA).

Zonisamide-Induced Hallucinations: An Anticonvulsant's Psychosis.

Checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy has significantly advanced treatment of a growing number of advanced malignancies. A consequences of immune system activation that leads to tumor cell destruction by checkpoint inhibitor therapy is the development of immune-related adverse events, some of which can be life threatening. There are limited data on the use of checkpoint inhibitor therapy in patients with preexisting autoimmunity owing to concerns that underlying autoimmune disease may be exacerbated by checkpoint inhibitor treatment.
