Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common disorder characterized by intermittent hypoxia and sleep fragmentation, assessed using the Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI). Systemic inflammation is central to OSA progression, and the systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) has emerged as a potential biomarker for inflammatory diseases. This study investigates the relationship between SIRI and OSA severity while comparing other inflammatory markers.

The use of higher-resolution spatial aerial images for semantic segmentation in everyday tasks has increased due to recent advancements in remote sensing and several other applications. Nonetheless, supervised learning necessitates a substantial quantity of images with pixel-level labeling. Currently, available techniques, which are mostly Deep Semantic Segmentation Networks (DSSN), might not be appropriate for application domains with a dearth of labels containing targeted masks of outputs.

Clinical characteristics and outcomes of isolated myeloid sarcoma without bone marrow involvement: An experience from a tertiary cancer care center in India.

Background: Myeloid sarcoma (MS) refers to extramedullary proliferation of blasts of myeloid lineages that disrupts the normal architecture of the tissue in which it is found. Due to its rarity, prognostic factors and optimal management are yet unknown.

Materials And Methods: Medical records of patients diagnosed with MS without marrow involvement and with no history of previous acute myeloid leukemia (AML) were retrieved.

Breast cancer - Clinicopathological profile at a Tertiary Cancer Center in India.

The demographic characteristics of breast cancer patients from disparate geographical regions vary considerably. Accordingly, the objective of this study was to present the clinicopathological features of breast cancer patients at our center and to conduct a comparative analysis with the findings of other studies. This retrospective descriptive study, which included 816 patients registered in the two years between October 2021 and September 2023, was conducted in the Department of Medical Oncology at a government tertiary cancer care center in southern India.

Effect of bonding characteristics of major constituents of mineral filler-based glass fiber reinforced with epoxy composites.

In the present study, attempt has been made in understanding the bonding behaviour of mineral filler when it is introduced with epoxy matrix structured with e-glass fibre at molecular level. Firstly, filler content in GFRP composite was analysed through Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Here, Silicon dioxide has been chosen as a representative for E-glass fibre as Silicon dioxide holds major part in the composition of an E-glass fibre.
