Cervical cancer is among the most common cancers affecting women worldwide. The standard treatment for early-stage cervical cancer (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics [FIGO] 2018 stages IA1-IB2, IIA1) typically involves a radical or simple hysterectomy with lymph node assessment. Postoperative management may include observation or tailored adjuvant therapy, such as radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy, depending on individual pathological risk factors.

Methods: This is a descriptive historical cohort study of patients with invasive cervical cancer recruited between January 2010 and June 2016. The study describes demographic characteristics, risk factors, treatments, and oncological outcomes at 1 and 5 years.
Inadvertent cervical cancer, defined as infiltrative cervical carcinoma diagnosed after a simple hysterectomy for presumed benign disease, remains clinically significant yet understudied. Despite the potential for eradication of cervical carcinoma through vaccination, screening, and early treatment, disparities in health care access continue to result in preventable cases, some of which are identified only postoperatively. This condition has long been recognized, yet its management remains undefined and is supported primarily by low- or very low-quality evidence.

However, there are few studies on the effect of glucocorticoids on alveolar bone. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the impact of chronic administration of glucocorticoids on osteocytes and the lacuno-canalicular system of maxillary and mandibular alveolar bone in growing rats.

Methods: Patients with asthma ages 15-21 were randomized to receive ASTHMAXcel Perception with peak expiratory flow (PEF) feedback or usual care (UC).
Objective: To examine the impact of coping styles in older adults with asthma on the prospective relationship between depressive symptoms and asthma outcomes, and how their perceptions of social support influenced their coping styles.
Methods: Adults 60 and over with asthma were recruited and interviewed about their experiences of asthma, depression, and other psychosocial factors over three time points (Baseline, 6-month, and 12-month visits). Structural equation models examined the mediating roles of coping styles in the relationship between depressive symptoms (assessed by BDI-II) and asthma outcomes (i.

Objective: The primary aim of our study was to compare tumor size assessment by pre-operative evaluation (physical examination and/or imaging) with tumor size on final pathology. As a secondary outcome, we evaluated the rate of adjuvant treatment in patients who underwent radical hysterectomy whose tumor size was ≥3 cm on final pathology.
Methods: Patient details were collected from three separate databases: the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Radical Hysterectomy Database, the SUCCOR Study Group Database, and the Multi-institutional Database LATAM (encompassing Latin America and Europe).

Objective: The Cancer Genome Atlas research program (TCGA) developed the molecular classification for endometrial cancer with prognostic and therapeutic utility, which was replaced by the ProMisE (Proactive Molecular Risk Classifier for Endometrial Cancer) classification by consensus and international guidelines due to its high cost. This article aims to present national recommendations from an expert consensus that allows unification and implementation of the molecular classification for women with endometrial cancer nationwide, with a rational use of resources and technology. Methods: Consensus of 36 experts in clinical oncology, oncological gynecology, pathology, and genetics, with clinical practice in the national territory.

Objective: To compare the pelvic lymph node involvement and risk of recurrence in patients with human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated endocervical adenocarcinoma stage IA2-IB1 undergoing hysterectomy and/or trachelectomy plus lymphadenectomy, according to Silva's classification system.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed in two Colombian cancer centers. The cases were classified according to the Silva classification system.
Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the rate of sentinel lymph node (SLN) metastases in patients with a pre-operative diagnosis of atypical hyperplasia/endometrial intra-epithelial neoplasia and endometrial cancer in hysterectomy specimens.
Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) checklist and the protocol was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42023416769). MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and Scopus databases were searched from inception until April 2023.
Abstract: The aim of the study is to assess the recurrence rate (as cervical intraepithelial neoplasia 2+ [CIN2+]) in patients who had a confirmed high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (CIN2-3) in a cervical biopsy specimen followed by a negative conization specimen.
Materials And Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses checklist. Ovid/MEDLINE, Ovid/Embase, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and ClinicalTrials.
Objective: To assess the diagnostic accuracy of intraoperative SLN frozen section analysis compared with ultrastaging in patients with early-stage cervical cancer.
Methods: A systematic literature review was conducted following the PRISMA checklist. MEDLINE (via Ovid), Embase, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were searched from inception until February 2023.

Background: The affective expression of sexual behaviour in individuals with Williams syndrome can lead to risky behaviours, especially if parents do not have information on how to provide sex education or support from specialised professionals.
Method: The Attitudes to Sexuality Questionnaire for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities was used to identify parental beliefs, attitudes and concerns about the sexuality and sex education of individuals with intellectual disabilities. The sample comprised 35 parents of individuals with Williams syndrome (mean age 12.
Objective: The objective of this systematic review was to assess the oncologic outcomes of patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) 2018 stage IVB cervical cancer receiving definitive pelvic radiotherapy compared with systemic chemotherapy (with or without palliative pelvic radiotherapy).
Methods: This study was registered in PROSPERO (registration number CRD42022333433). A systematic literature review was conducted following the MOOSE checklist.
Objective: To evaluate the association of number of radical hysterectomies performed per year in each center with disease-free survival and overall survival.
Methods: We conducted an international, multicenter, retrospective study of patients previously included in the Surveillance in Cervical Cancer collaborative studies. Individuals with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) 2009 stage IB1-IIA1 cervical cancer who underwent radical hysterectomy and had negative lymph nodes at final histology were included.
Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women worldwide. The preferred treatment for early stage cervical cancer is radical hysterectomy with pelvic lymph node assessment, and adjuvant therapy is suggested according to histopathological risk factors. A landmark study was published in 1999 that established 'intermediate risk' criteria for relapse, showing a benefit in recurrence free rate in patients that received pelvic radiotherapy.
