This study aimed to prepare, characterize, and evaluate the wound healing activity of scaffolds based on N-carboxyethyl chitosan (NCEC) and oxidized locust bean gum (LBGO) synthesized through the Schiff base reaction. NCEC was prepared by Michael addition reaction, and LBGO (degrees of oxidation: 10, 30, and 50%) was synthesized using sodium periodate. In the present study, the effect of sulfonamide-chalcone 185 (SSC185) was investigated against B16-F10 metastatic melanoma cells aggressive actions, besides migration and adhesion processes, by in silico and in vitro assays. In silico studies were used to characterize the pharmacokinetic profile and possible targets of SSC185, using the pkCSM web server, and docking simulations with AutoDock Tools. The chemical composition of the leaf essential oil of Croton regelianus collected from wild plants growing in two different sites at Ceará State (Brazil) was analyzed by GC/MS and GC-FID. Twenty monoterpenoids, representing more than 96% of the chemical composition of the oils, were identified and quantified. The oils showed similar chemical composition but considerable variation in the levels of each constituent.
