Introduction: To study obstetric and gynecologic (OBGYN) resident comfort with performing a salpingectomy at cesarean delivery after a simulation workshop utilizing a low-cost, easy-to-construct model.

Methods: OBGYN residents were taught how to counsel a patient on a salpingectomy and perform the steps of the procedure utilizing our simulation model. We performed a pre- and post- survey.

Background: Inguinal lymph node dissections are morbid surgeries with high rates of postoperative wound infections. The primary objective of this pilot study was to assess the feasibility of implementing a randomized controlled trial to assess the impact of intrawound vancomycin powder on postoperative complications after inguinal lymph node dissection in patients with vulvar cancer. Secondary objectives included 1) 30-day composite postoperative complication rate, and 2) adverse effects.

The FIGO scheme is currently applied for tumor grading of endometrioid adenocarcinoma. The current report presents a series of ten cases of endometrioid carcinomas that when applying the FIGO grading does not fully convey the true biological nature of the disease. The squamous component of these tumors is malignant; it constitutes the predominant invasive component, and it often metastasizes to unconventional sites.

Objective: Complete bilateral salpingectomy (CBS) can decrease the risk of developing ovarian cancer, although adoption of CBS at cesarean delivery (CD) for permanent contraception has been low. The primary objective was to measure the annual rates of CBS at CD before and after an educational initiative. The secondary objective was to assess rates of providers who offer CBS at CD and their comfort level with the procedure.

Objective: This study aimed to identify barriers to hormone therapy (HT) use among women with BRCA1/2 mutations after prophylactic bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (BSO).

Methods: A cross-sectional, electronic survey was conducted of BRCA1/2 mutation carriers at Women and Infants Hospital, Yale Medical Center, Hartford Healthcare, and Maine Medical Center. This study was a subanalysis of a subset of female BRCA1/2 mutation carriers who had undergone a prophylactic BSO.
