Multiple factors affect drug release kinetics, including polymer grade, drug-to-osmotic agent ratio, membrane characteristics, and manufacturing methods. In this study, we comprehensively investigated how manufacturing techniques impacted glipizide PPOP tablet performance.

Diversity Impacts of Coronavirus Disease 2019.

This article describes how coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) health disparities relate to the social determinants of health and reviews the importance of a diverse nursing workforce prepared to advance social justice. The article reviews recommendations from the National Academy of Medicine and highlights practical strategies to promote diversity and social justice, including mentoring nurses from underrepresented backgrounds, amplifying diverse nursing voices, and leveraging the power of coalitions. In highlighting the interwoven impact of COVID-19 and demand for social change throughout 2020 to 2022, the article strives to move beyond the acute COVID-19 crisis to sustained social justice in health care.

Angiopoietin-like 3-derivative LNA043 for cartilage regeneration in osteoarthritis: a randomized phase 1 trial.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common, debilitating, chronic disease with no disease-modifying drug approved to date. We discovered LNA043-a derivative of angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3)-as a potent chondrogenesis inducer using a phenotypic screen with human mesenchymal stem cells. We show that LNA043 promotes chondrogenesis and cartilage matrix synthesis in vitro and regenerates hyaline articular cartilage in preclinical OA and cartilage injury models in vivo.

Background: Celecoxib-tramadol co-crystal (CTC) is a first-in-class analgesic co-crystal of celecoxib and racemic tramadol with an improved pharmacologic profile, conferred by the co-crystal structure, compared with its active constituents administered alone/concomitantly.

Aim: We evaluated CTC in moderate-to-severe acute postoperative pain.

Materials And Methods: This randomized, double-blind, factorial, active- and placebo-controlled phase 3 trial (NCT03108482) was conducted at 6 US clinical research centers.
