Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have been studied to be used as a platform for electrochemical sensing devices, with special regard to the determination of pesticides. Due to MIP applicability, in the present research, we develop a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with a molecularly imprinted nanocomposite based on the doping of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) with chitosan (Chit) and TiO nanoparticles for sensing atrazine in environmental samples. The construction of the MIP nanocomposite was divided into four parts, which include the chitosan-TiO layer formation by simple drop-casting on the GCE, the doping and electropolymerization of the Chit+TiO+PEDOT layer, cavity formation, and elution.

This study investigates such changes among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Lima, Peru.
Methods: We analyzed data from a cross-sectional survey that was conducted initially in 2018–2019 (‘pre-pandemic’ period, = 382) and then repeated in 2020–2021 (‘mid-pandemic’ period, = 387).
Indirect predictions (IP) are used for young genotyped animals that lack phenotypes (of their own or from progeny) or are from commercial herds. The former can be left behind because they do not contribute to the official genomic evaluations. The latter are often excluded from the evaluations because they are not registered and may not have pedigree information.

A total of 270,064 and 998,289 observations were available for WFM measured on crossbred and FLS measured on purebred, respectively. The total number of animals in the analyses was 577,947 for WFM and 1,079,080 for FLS.

Aims: There is an unexpectedly high proportion of atypical forms of degenerative parkinsonism in the French Caribbean islands. Residents of these islands are thought to be susceptible to Caribbean atypical parkinsonism (CAP) owing to their consumption of Annonaceae plant products containing the mitochondrial toxin annonacin. Here, we aimed to better correlate the clinical diagnosis of CAP with the misfolded protein pathology observed in affected individuals and to further investigate how annonacin could contribute to CAP pathogenesis.
