Background: Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD) is frequently associated with cardiac involvement. The underlying pathoanatomical substrate includes replacement of cardiomyocytes by fibrous tissue, leading to extensive myocardial fibrosis of the posterolateral wall of the left ventricular (LV) epicardium. Cardiac arrhythmias, including ventricular tachycardia (VT), are common in this condition, particularly when LV ejection fraction (LVEF) declines.

Although interest in physiological pacing is growing, concerns about the long-term safety of permanent His bundle pacing (p-HBP) persist. Our current study aims to evaluate the long-term outcomes of patients who underwent AV node ablation and p-HBP, focusing on left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), NYHA class, readmissions, and pacing parameters.

Methods: This was a prospective descriptive single-center study. We analyzed patients who develop LVDys with n-PS, and the results after upgrading to conduction system pacing (CSP).

Background: Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) through permanent His bundle pacing (p-HBP) normalizes interventricular conduction disorders and QRS. Similarly, there are immediate and long-term changes in repolarization, which could be prognostic of a lower risk of sudden death (SD) at follow-up. We aimed to compare the changes in different electrocardiographic (ECG) repolarization parameters related to the risk of SD before and after CRT through p-HBP.

Background Or Purpose: His bundle pacing (HBP) is the most physiological form of ventricular pacing. Few prospective studies have analyzed lead localization using imaging techniques and its relationship with electrical parameters and capture patterns. The objective of this study is to examine the correlation between electrical parameters and lead localization using three-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography (3D TTE).

The potential risk of electromagnetic interference has limited its use and it is still contraindicated by the Food and Drug Administration in some cases. The aim of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of MRI in these patients.

Background: Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) via permanent His bundle pacing (pHBP) has gained acceptance globally, but robust studies comparing pHBP-CRT with classic CRT are lacking. In this study, we aimed to compare the improvement in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) after pHBP-CRT versus classic CRT.
Methods: This was a single-center study comparing a prospective series of pHBP-CRT with a historical series of CRT via classic biventricular pacing (BVP).
Background And Objectives: Atrial fibrillation (AF) detection in patients with embolic stroke of underdetermined source (ESUS) entails a change of medical treatment and a significant decrease in the incidence of new strokes. It is necessary to determine which patients would benefit more from prolonged electrocardiographic monitoring. Our aim was to find electrocardiographic and echocardiographic AF predictors in patients with ESUS.
