Background: Three-dimensional (3D) printing technology is actively applied in rhinoplasty procedures. The use of 3D-printed silicone implants facilitates success in surgery, even when the surgeon lacks experience. However, in some cases, deviation or displacement of 3D-printed silicone implants can occur even without postoperative septal and tip deviation.

Eyelid lymphedema is a rare condition that presents as persistent swelling and non-pitting edema of the eyelids. Treatment options for this disease are limited, including surgical debulking and medications, which do not achieve complete resolution. Few studies have demonstrated the use of lymphovenous anastomosis (LVA) in the preauricular area for eyelid lymphedema treatment.

The advent of FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), such as midostaurin and gilteritinib, has shown promise in achieving complete remission.

We hypothesized that patients with relapsed Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), or multiple myeloma (MM) treated at an urban county hospital serving indigent and under-insured patients would face barriers for referral to a private academic transplant center for autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). Charts of patients with HL, NHL, or MM treated at Grady Memorial Hospital between 2007 and 2013 were reviewed, and 215 patients with diagnosis of HD (n=40), NHL (n=96), and MM (n=79).

Objective: To determine the association between a history of asthma and a diagnosis of selective IgA deficiency (sIgAD)/common variable immunodeficiency (CVID).

Patients And Methods: This population-based case-control study included residents of Olmsted County, Minnesota, who met the Pan-American Group for Immunodeficiency/European Society for Immunodeficiencies diagnostic criteria for sIgAD/CVID between January 1, 1964, through December 31, 2008. Each case had 4 age- and sex-matched controls (2 from the community and 2 from a list of individuals who had undergone an immune work-up).

Superior vena cava (SVC) syndrome is an uncommon complication of malignant disease caused by the obstruction of venous blood flow in the SVC. When present, a diagnosis of lung cancer or lymphoma will be made in approximately 95% of cases. Although other malignant diseases are occasionally associated with SVC, its occurrence in patients with prostate cancer is rare.

The prognosis of patients with relapsed and refractory acute leukaemia (RRAL) is very poor. Forty patients with RRAL were enroled [28 acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), 12 acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL)] in this Phase 1 dose-escalation trial of daily-infused clofarabine (CLO) followed by cyclophosphamide (CY) for four consecutive days (CLO-CYx4). The median age was 48·5 years.

To elucidate the exact function of CabAS in Centella asiatica, which was previously reported as a putative beta-amyrin synthase [Plant Cell Rep, 24:304-311, 2005], this gene was functionally expressed in the lanosterol synthase-deficient yeast mutant (erg7). After inducing the CabAS gene with galactose, a peak consistent with the dammarenediol standard was detected in LC/APCIMS analyses and the accumulated product was confirmed as dammarenediol. CabAS should therefore be renamed to C.
