Objectives: This study aimed to identify the cyclical "on-off" flow of pulmonary microcirculation during inspiration and expiration by sidestream dark field imaging (SDF) technology in vivo and investigate the effects of volume status and driving pressure on cyclical "on-off" flow of microcirculation.
Methods: 24 ARDS-modeled rabbits were randomly divided into high-driving pressure group (HDP group) and low-driving pressure group (LDP group). Lung microcirculation measurements were performed using the SDF microscope at two timepoints (T1 CVP 2-4 mmHg, T2 CVP 8-10 mmHg).
Total acid content (TAC) and reducing sugar content (RSC) are important evaluation indicators for the quality of fermented grains. In this study, the TAC and RSC of fermented grains were quantified using hyperspectral imaging (HSI). Two combined algorithms were used to extract the characteristic wavelengths of TAC and RSC.

Isolated forest (IF) algorithm and principal component analysis (PCA) were used to remove the abnormal data of sorghum grains. Competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS) algorithm and successive projections algorithm (SPA) were combined and used to extract the characteristic wavelengths.

Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) is an emerging technology widely applied in the content analysis of food ingredients. In this study, the effects of different preprocessing methods on visible-light and near-infrared spectral data were analyzed, and the prediction accuracies of these spectral data were compared.

Uric acid (UA), an important natural antioxidant, might reduce the neuronal injury caused by ICH. Delineating the relationship between UA and ICH will enhance our understanding of antioxidative mechanisms in recovery from ICH.

To explore the necessity and feasibility of early anti-depressive therapies in acute stroke patients, we conducted a meta-analysis of currently available randomized control studies (RCTs). Literature search in six databases was done with keywords of cerebrovascular accident, depression and prevention. Only RCTs that met the inclusion criteria were enrolled for further analysis.

This still has been disputed as application of hypertonic saline (HS) or mannitol for treating patients with severe TBI. Thus, this meta-analysis was performed to further compare the advantages and disadvantages of mannitol with HS for treating elevated ICP after TBI.

The photocatalytic degradation mechanisms of ibuprofen (IBP) were evaluated in aqueous media via BiVO4. Results demonstrated that the prepared photocatalyst corresponded to phase-pure monoclinic scheelite BiVO4.

A combined flocculant (CAFS) was prepared with Al(2)(SO(4))(3)·18H(2)O, FeSO(4)·7H(2)O and starch. The flocculation mechanism of reactive brilliant red X-3B was studied. The results showed that CAFS was a cationic polymeric flocculant with high charge density, and its mesh starch chains grafted polyaluminum and polyferrous.
