: Ectopic pregnancy (EP) is defined as the implantation of an embryo outside the uterine cavity, which can lead to high morbidity and mortality if not diagnosed and treated promptly. A rare form of EP is myomectomy scar pregnancy (MSP), where the embryo implants in a scar from a prior myomectomy. Due to its rarity, MSP presents unique diagnostic and therapeutic challenges.

It aims to highlight the role of nodal assessment in guiding postoperative treatment strategies. Additionally, the study compares surgery complication rates between patients who underwent SLN mapping and those who did not.

This procedure carries a risk of uterine perforation, which can lead to injury of abdominal organs and, rarely, to fallopian tubes.
Objectives: To evaluate symptoms and diagnostic signs and to propose the most appropriate management for the intussusception and incarceration of fallopian tubes following uterine aspiration and curettage.
International guidelines do not take a clear position regarding the management of patients with "intermediate-risk" cervical cancer, and they remain noncommittal on the necessity of adjuvant therapy following radical hysterectomy. To determine if adjuvant therapy after surgery adds benefit in "intermediate-risk" cervical cancer patients in terms of recurrence rate and mortality rate, we performed a systematic review with meta-analysis on Google Scholar, PubMed, and Scopus. The inclusion criteria were studies with >100 patients with intermediate-risk cervical cancer according to the Sedlis criteria, RCTs, or propensity score-matched cohort studies reporting oncological outcomes and treatment-related toxicity, comparing a surgery-only cohort with an adjuvant therapy cohort.

Imaging techniques such as ultrasound and MRI are limited in distinguishing UTROSCTs as their appearance is usually suggestive of uterine leiomyoma or adenomyosis.

Introduction: Urogenital prolapse affects up to 50% of women, and its treatment is essential for improving quality of life. Laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy is considered the gold standard, but there is no consensus on the optimal surgical approach. This study tests the hypothesis that the absence of posterior mesh fixation is non-inferior to its fixation.

: Actinomyces are commensal bacteria that colonize various sites in the human body. Under certain predisposing conditions, they can proliferate and cause granulomatous inflammation in different tissues. Pelvic actinomycosis is an extremely rare condition; its significance lies in the fact that it can be easily misdiagnosed as gynecological malignancy based on clinical manifestations and imaging findings.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFFumarate hydratase (FH) deficiency is a rare, yet impactful metabolic disorder caused by mutations in the FH gene, affecting the Krebs cycle, leading to the accumulation of fumarate and pseudohypoxic states. This metabolic shift promotes cell signaling alterations that can drive tumorigenesis, as heterozygous germline mutations in the FH gene, resulting in hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell carcinoma (HLRCC) syndrome. FH-deficient uterine leiomyomas show peculiar histological features that may lead to misdiagnosis STUMP (smooth muscle tumor of uncertain malignant potential) and uLMS (uterine leiomyosarcoma).

The objective of this review was to underline the need to standardize and optimize the management of these rare complications within an evidence-based framework.
Methods: This review included the literature until 29 December 2024 and finally analyzed 17 studies, with 40 vascular complications reported.

: Endometrial cancer is currently the sixth most frequent cancer in women, and scientific research is focusing on the search for particular features of the endometrium that may explain a further predisposition to the onset of endometrial cancer, aimed at improving knowledge of the pathogenetic factors of this disease. The aim of our review is to analyze in detail the results of the literature on the endometrial microbiota in patients with endometrial cancer and to investigate its role. : We performed our research on the Pubmed, Web of Science, and Scopus databases.

One of the complications might be severe anemia. The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the role of intrauterine transfusion in case of selective intrauterine fetal death in monochorionic pregnancies with the surviving co-twin diagnosed with severe anemia.

Due to its silent presentation, more than half of the cases are diagnosed incidentally. An association with fetomaternal hemorrhage (FMH), stillbirth, and intrauterine growth restriction has been found.

Although some cases are characterized by spontaneous resolution, unrecognized or mishandled CSP has the potential to cause both fetal and maternal morbidity and mortality. However, due to its infrequency, there is no agreement on the best management.

Introduction: Hemostasis is an important step in all surgical procedures. Mechanical methods of hemostasis have been gradually abandoned in favor of electrosurgery. The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the effectiveness of electrosurgical instruments utilized in minimally invasive gynecological procedures.

Introduction: Intraplacental choriocarcinoma is a gestational trophoblastic neoplasia located within the placenta. Due to the usual silent presentation, more than half of the cases are diagnosed incidentally. It has been demonstrated that this pathology is linked to feto-maternal hemorrhage (FMH), stillbirth, and intrauterine growth restriction.

Despite their low risk of malignancy, other risks associated with these masses include torsion, rupture and labor obstruction. Correct diagnosis and management are needed to guarantee both maternal and fetal safety.
