The early diagnosis of dementia, a progressive condition impairing memory, cognition, and functional ability in older adults, is essential for timely intervention and improved patient outcomes. This study proposes a novel multiclass classification that differentiates dementia from other comorbid conditions, specifically cardiovascular diseases, including heart failure and aortic valve disorder, by leveraging the "blessing of dimensionality" to enhance predictive performance while ensuring feature accessibility. Using a dataset of 26,474 electronic health records from two hospitals in Chiang Rai, Thailand, the proposed framework introduced clinically informed feature augmentation to enhance model generalizability.

Influence of the Pulse Mode of Manual Metal Arc Welding on Weldment Distortions.

As a result of the thermo-mechanical impact during welding, distortions are generated in welded structures. These distortions significantly influence the geometric and dimensional accuracy of welded structures, in many cases lowering their working characteristics and reliability. An optimal design for welded structures is a prerequisite for increased reliability and reduction in manufacturing cost, and such an optimal design can be achieved knowing the distortions in weldments.

Smart5Grid Solutions for enhanced TSO grid observability and manageability in massive RES penetration environment.

This article presents the latency minimisation potential provided by the Smart5Grid Open Experimentation Platform (OEP) developed by the Horizon 2020 Smart5Grid Research and Innovation (R&I) project. It discusses the OEP performance and provides experimental data to substantiate its contribution to improving observability and manageability of distributed renewable generation in power grids. That experimental proof is delivered by two pilots running on the OEP: Demo 1 Millisecond Level Precise Distribution Generation Control, and Demo 2 Real-time Wide Area Monitoring (WAM) pilot of 5G virtual Phasor Data Concentrator v(PDC) capabilities for WAM of end-to-end electricity grids.

This possibility is being explored and results are encouraging, but it is necessary to improve the oncotoxicity of the virus. Here we show that this can be achieved by co-treating cancer cells with H-1PV and histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACIs) such as valproic acid (VPA).

This study represents the proof of principle for a novel anti-inflammatory therapy using overexpression of IL-10 in murine monocytes/macrophages by mRNA-nucleofection for the treatment of autoimmune myocarditis.
