Sleep concerns are ubiquitous among people with Parkinson's disease (PwP) and result in significant morbidity. Over 80% of PwP experience sleep disturbances and about 33% to 40% of these patients report that sleep issues are one of their most significant concerns affecting their quality of life. PwP can suffer from one or more sleep issues and a multidisciplinary approach is often needed to help effectively improve quality of sleep and daytime function.

Objective: Multiple studies have demonstrated an increased risk of lower extremity injuries for females in frontal crashes. This study aimed to investigate whether sex-based anatomical differences, as measured on computed tomography (CT) scans of the abdomen and pelvis, contribute to lower extremity injury risk.
Methods: The Crash Injury Research and Engineering Network (CIREN) database (2017-2023) was queried for frontal collisions.
Rapid online education is essential to equip nurses with new knowledge, such as how to care for incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD). We evaluated the effect of an online educational program on nurses' knowledge of IAD through a pretest-posttest study, examining how it changed nurses' IAD knowledge. Methods: A single institution retrospective cohort study examined patients undergoing abdominal BCS (abdominoplasty, lower body lift, and/or liposuction). Outcomes included estimated blood loss (EBL), hemoglobin drop on the first post-operative day, drain output, length of hospital stay, and the need for surgical evacuation of hematoma or transfusion.
Clinical obesity, a chronic condition marked by excessive fat accumulation, often leads to insulin resistance and a heightened risk of comorbidities. This study aimed to identify hormonal predictors of an insulin-sensitive phenotype (ISP) in patients undergoing body contouring surgeries, focusing on the relationship between gut hormones, adipokines, and fat mass. ISP was defined as the highest tertile of HOMA insulin sensitivity.
