Social-Media-Based Mental Health Interventions: Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.

Background: Compared with other forms of online mental health interventions, programs delivered through social media apps may require less training and be more acceptable and accessible to various populations. During and after the pandemic, both the number of social media users and the prevalence of social-media-based mental health interventions increased significantly. However, to the best of the authors' knowledge, no meta-analysis so far has focused on rigorous social-media-based mental health interventions for general populations.

Threshold group testing on inhibitor model.

In classical group testing, one is given a population [Formula: see text] and an unknown subset [Formula: see text] of positive items, and the goal is to determine D by testing subsets of [Formula: see text]. Threshold group testing is a generalization of classical group testing, where the outcome of a group test is determined by the number of positive items in the test. In group testing on inhibitor model, inhibitors are the third type of item that dictate the test outcome to be negative regardless of how many positives are in the test.

Association between interleukin-6 receptor gene variations and atherosclerotic lipid profiles among young adolescents in Taiwan.

Background: To analyze the potential genetic associations between four polymorphisms of interleukin-6 receptor (IL-6R) gene and atherosclerotic lipid profiles among young adolescents in Taiwan.

Methods: Using data from the Taipei Children Heart Study-II--a cross-sectional survey in 2003. After multi-stage sampling, we selected 418 boys and 441 girls with an average age of 13.

Identification and classification problems on pooling designs for inhibitor models.

Pooling designs are common tools to efficiently distinguish positive clones from negative clones in clone library screening. In some applications, there is a third type of clones called "inhibitors" whose effect is in a sense to obscure the positive clones in pools. Various inhibitor models have been proposed in the literature.
