Background: The study of women exposures and child outcomes occurring in the first 1,000 days of life since conception enhances understanding of the relationships between environmental factors, epigenetic changes, and disease development, extending beyond childhood and spanning the entire lifespan. Generation Gemelli is a recently launched case-control study that enrolls mother-newborns pairs in one of the largest university hospitals in Italy, in order to examine the association between maternal environmental exposures and intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) and the risk of premature birth. The study will also evaluate the association of maternal exposures and the health and growth of infants and children up to 24 months of age.

Introduction: Vaginal delivery can cause genital tract trauma and lacerations of different severity. This study aims to establish if routinary use of Ritgen's maneuver decreases the prevalence and severity of perineal lacerations compared to the traditional manual perineal protection (MPP).
Methods: This prospective case-control study was conducted in the labor ward of Fondazione Policlinico A.
The current COVID-19 pandemic has been associated with high rates of mortality and significant morbidity. Both the risk of infection for pregnant women and the risk of vertical transmission have been evaluated, and the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus has been demonstrated both in the placenta and in the amniochorionic membranes. However, the actual effects of this pathogen on pregnancy and on placental morphology are still unclear.

Objectives To evaluate the strength of association between maternal and pregnancy characteristics and the risk of adverse perinatal outcomes in pregnancies with laboratory confirmed COVID-19. Methods Secondary analysis of a multinational, cohort study on all consecutive pregnant women with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 from February 1, 2020 to April 30, 2020 from 73 centers from 22 different countries. A confirmed case of COVID-19 was defined as a positive result on real-time reverse-transcriptase-polymerase-chain-reaction (RT-PCR) assay of nasal and pharyngeal swab specimens.

Our aim was to identify criteria to select elderly patients who can safely benefit from bevacizumab addition.
Methods: This is a case-control study on patients with primary or recurrent EOC who received platinum-based chemotherapy plus bevacizumab, between January 2015 and December 2016.
Background: Platinum-based chemotherapy plus bevacizumab is the new standard of care in stage IVB cervical cancer (CC) patients. In this new scenario, radical surgery could be offered in selected cases with an optimal clinical response. Potential surgical complications related to previous bevacizumab treatment have never been described before in this type of setting.
