Objective: Obesity represents a global health problem with large costs for public health. Cabergoline (CAB), a potent dopamine agonist with a high affinity for type 2 dopamine receptor (D2R), usually used in clinical practice for hyperprolactinemia management, has been reported to significantly decrease metabolic syndrome prevalence and visceral adiposity associated with improved insulin sensitivity in prolactinoma patients. Nevertheless, scant data are reported about CAB effects on obesity condition.

Parental PLC/PRF/5 cells, along with everolimus-resistant (EveR) and Sorafenib-resistant (SorR) cell lines, were used in this study. PER2 expression was silenced using siRNA knockdown (KD) and blocked using CRISPR/Cas9 Plasmid knockout (KO).

In AtT20 cells, dexamethasone (DEX) increased the expression of miR-375, which has a seed sequence for Ssrt2, supporting the hypothesis that excessive GC exposure can lead to epigenetic SSTR2 downregulation. The current study aims to evaluate miR-375 levels by reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction in sera from patients with CD, human corticotroph pituitary tumors, normal pituitaries, and AtT20/D16 and GH3 cells, and miR-375 impact on SSTR2 expression in AtT20/D16 and human corticotroph pituitary tumors.

Recently, it has been shown that the timing of physical activity and food intake can significantly influence metabolic muscle health. Some recent clinical evidence has shown that physical activity practiced in the late afternoon can be more effective in terms of performance and muscle strength.

The role of 1,25‑Dihydroxyvitamin D3 (VitD) in counteracting adipogenesis is still a matter of debate. Thus, the current study aims to investigate whether and how VitD exposure during adipogenesis could prevent the pro-adipogenic effect of BPA in two adipocyte models, mouse 3T3-L1 cell line and human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hAMSC).

However, acquired drug resistance limits their clinical efficacy. Exosomes are microvesicles secreted by tumor and stromal cells that participate in many biological processes, including drug resistance.

The scientific community has increased its focus on the molecular mechanisms involved in obesity etiopathogenesis to better manage patients with obesity and its associated complications. The tight connection between adipose tissue and the immune system has been demonstrated to play a crucial role in inflammation, and melatonin is important for circadian rhythm regulation and metabolic homeostasis, in which it orchestrates several molecular mechanisms involved in obesity and associated inflammation.
