Purpose: This review compared the incidence of caries and periodontal parameters of disease activity in abutment versus non-abutment teeth in removable partial dental prosthesis (RPDP) wearers.
Materials And Methods: Two reviewers independently searched five electronic databases (PubMed, EBSCO-CINAHL Complete, EBSCO-Dentistry and Oral Sciences, Wiley Cochrane Library, and Scopus) to retrieve studies published until September 9, 2023, and selected randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and longitudinal studies (LSs) reporting at least three months of recall post-delivery. Frequency of new and recurrent caries, probing depths (PPD) in millimeters, and sites with bleeding on probing (BoP) were recorded.
This report presents the case of a girl in early adolescence with symptoms suggestive of Papillon-Lefèvre syndrome (PLS) who remained undetected with poorly managed periodontitis until the advanced stage of alveolar resorption, leading to multiple tooth loss due to periodontitis. All remaining teeth had grade III mobility and negligible alveolar support, necessitating extraction. Conventional complete dentures were provided for functional and aesthetic rehabilitation.

This cross-sectional study was, therefore, aimed to assess the availability of such technology to Prosthodontics postgraduate trainees in Pakistan, as well as their introspective views regarding the effectiveness of adapting to simulation-based learning methods.
Method: Total population sampling yielded a sample of 200 participants.
Objectives: The present systematic review was conducted to give an overview of toothbrush contamination among the general population and the factors affecting toothbrush contamination with an evidence-based approach.
Data/sources: Medline (Pub Med), CINAHL Plus, Cochrane Library and Dentistry and Oral Health Sciences Source were searched for the results after applying the search strategy from January 2012 to May 2022, following inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data were collected using a self-made data collection form on study characteristics, population attributes and the main features, including the study's outcomes.
