Evaluating the co-creation process in public health interventions: the PROSECO framework.

Objectives: To date, there is a lack of evaluation frameworks to guide the planning and conducting of the evaluation of co-creation in public health. This study aims to identify and set the components of the PROSECO framework (PROcesS Evaluation framework for CO-creation) to support the evaluation of co-creation processes in public health interventions.

Study Design: A multi-step, iterative approach combining the outcomes of two scoping reviews, expert validation, and design refinement.

Co-creation of the Digital Democracy and Data Commons Manifesto: alternative sociotechnical visions of data.

Amid public concern surrounding the proprietary and exploitative use of personal data by corporations and public institutions, and its consequences from a sociotechnical perspective, narratives around digital commons have recently emerged, framing potential alternatives. This paper presents the co-creation of the Digital Democracy and Data Commons Manifesto through a collaborative writing sprint, drawing on principles of openness, diversity, and inclusivity. The manifesto articulates a technopolitical vision for data governance that prioritizes community control over data.

More than ever, humanity relies on robust scientific knowledge of the world and our place within it. Unfortunately, our contemporary view of science is still suffused with outdated ideas about scientific knowledge production based on a naive kind of realism. These ideas persist among members of the public and scientists alike.

Using an Individual-Centered Approach to Gain Insights From Wearable Data in the Quantified Flu Platform: Netnography Study.

Background: Wearables have been used widely for monitoring health in general, and recent research results show that they can be used to predict infections based on physiological symptoms. To date, evidence has been generated in large, population-based settings. In contrast, the Quantified Self and Personal Science communities are composed of people who are interested in learning about themselves individually by using their own data, which are often gathered via wearable devices.

Adapting the scrum framework for agile project management in science: case study of a distributed research initiative.

This article explores the adoption of agile methods for the management of projects in collaborative research initiatives. The use of the scrum framework, a specific set of agile principles and practices for self-organizing cross-functional teams in software development projects, is currently being expanded to other types of organizations and knowledge management processes. The study addresses the extent to which key principles and tools usually used in scrum, due to their potentially positive influence on team dynamics and efficiency, can contribute to the collaborative management and coordination of tasks in research processes.
