Problem: Various chemokines have been linked to endometriosis. Notably, chemokines such as CCL2, CXCL8, and CXCL1 have also been shown to promote nociception. In this study, we investigated whether increased serum concentrations and endometrial expression of chemokines (specifically CCL2, CXCL8, and CXCL1) are associated with heightened severity of pain symptoms in women with endometriosis.

Objective: To evaluate the presence of gynecologic pathologies accompanying adenomyosis among the hysterectomy specimens performed for various gynecologic indications.
Methods: This multicenter retrospective cohort study included women who underwent hysterectomy for various gynecologic indications and were diagnosed with adenomyosis at tertiary care centers. Eligible women were classified into two groups based on histopathologic results: Group 1-patients with only adenomyosis (n = 102) and Group 2-patients with adenomyosis and other gynecologic pathologies (n = 1353).
Ovarian endometriomas (OEMs), cystic formations within the ovaries, are a significant manifestation of endometriosis and present in 20-40% of affected women. Despite extensive research, the pathogenesis of endometriosis remains unclear, with retrograde menstruation, coelomic metaplasia, and lymphatic dissemination being proposed mechanisms. OEMs negatively impact ovarian function by reducing the ovarian reserve, disrupting folliculogenesis, and altering the ovarian microenvironment through oxidative stress, inflammation, and fibrosis.

Objective: The mechanisms behind endometriosis-related pain are not yet fully understood. To determine if there is a difference in the density of endometrial nerve fibers between women with endometriosis and healthy controls, and to explore how the density of these nerve fibers and hormone levels correlate with the severity of symptoms experienced by the women.
Study Design: In this case-control study, 76 women with endometriosis and 24 healthy controls were included.
Spontaneous hemoperitoneum in pregnancy (SHIP) is defined as sudden, nontraumatic intraperitoneal bleeding that occurs during pregnancy or up to 42 days postpartum. The incidence ranges between 4 and 4.9 per 100 000 births.

Limited etiological data on RPL prompts comprehensive evaluations, often yielding no pathological findings. Emerging research implicates endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in various reproductive processes, yet its association with RPL remains understudied.

Despite the estimated 50% heritability for the condition, only 26% was associated with common genetic variants. Thus, necessity of identifying rare variants for the missing heritability is implicated in the literature.

The literature primarily focuses on managing abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) and dysmenorrhea, the main symptoms of adenomyosis. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and tranexamic acid provide limited support for mild symptoms or symptom re-exacerbation during hormone therapy.

As search for optimal therapy continues for endometriosis, aid of dietary supplements is gaining attention. Supplements can be used for their anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-proliferative and immune modulatory charactheristics. We reviewed the literature, evaluated and synthesized effects of vitamin D, zinc, magnesium, omega 3, propolis, quercetin, curcumin, N-acetylcysteine, probiotics, resveratrol, alpha lipoic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium and epigallocatechin-3-gallate.

However, causal mechanisms of this disease remain unknown due to its heterogeneous presentation. In order to successfully study its phenotypic variation, large sample sizes are needed.
