Systematic Review: Use of Artificial Intelligence and Unmet Needs in Eosinophilic Oesophagitis.

Background: Artificial intelligence (AI) has been applied extensively to eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE), but its clinical impact and comprehensiveness remain unclear.

Aims: To summarise the state of the art of applications of AI in EoE, identify gaps in the literature and disclose unmet needs.

Methods: We performed a systematic review of applications of AI in diagnosis, prognosis, precision medicine and follow-up in EoE.

Drug Survival, Retention, and Persistence of Dupilumab in Adults and Adolescents with Atopic Dermatitis: A Narrative Literature Review.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, relapsing inflammatory skin condition that can have a negative impact on a patient's quality of life. Long-term effectiveness is required to manage the symptoms of AD (skin inflammation, eczematous lesions, and itching). Because some of the systemic immunosuppressants used to treat AD have been associated with serious adverse events (AEs), other safer, more effective options, including dupilumab, have been proven effective long-term for treatment of adult and adolescent patients with moderate-to-severe AD.

Implications of Atopic Dermatitis on the Quality of Life of 6-11 Years Old Children and Caregivers (PEDI-BURDEN).

Purpose: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, relapsing and remitting inflammatory skin disease characterized by intense itch. The disease burden includes physical limitations, psychosocial discomfort, and a reduced quality of life (HRQoL). This study presents the results of a parent-reported survey on the psychosocial impact of AD on Italian pre-adolescent children (6-11 years old), with a specific focus on bullying, self-isolation, absenteeism, and presenteeism.

Atopic Dermatitis and Patient Perspectives: Insights of Bullying at School and Career Discrimination at Work.

Background: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by recurrent eczematous lesions and intense pruritus. AD patients are known to face a considerable disease burden, including physical and emotional limitations. There is still limited knowledge about daily implications in education and occupation.

Dupilumab treatment induced similar improvements in signs, symptoms, and quality of life in adults with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis with baseline Eczema Area and Severity Index Score <24 or ≥24.

Background: In multiple phase 3 trials, dupilumab improved signs, symptoms (including pruritus), and quality-of-life (QoL) in adults with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD). In Italy, dupilumab received innovation status but is currently only reimbursed by the National Health Service for adults with Eczema Area Severity Index (EASI) scores ≥24. This analysis assesses disease burden and dupilumab efficacy in adults with EASI scores above and below this threshold.

Radiotherapy of carcinomas of the skin overlying the cartilage of the nose: results in 405 lesions.

The skin overlying the nose cartilage is a particularly frequent localization of skin carcinomas, for which it is of great practical interest to identify the best therapy, able to combine effectiveness with a good cosmetic and functional result. To this aim a retrospective study was performed regarding 405 basal and squamous cell carcinomas treated by kilovoltage radiotherapy in the period 1972-2002. The total dose of ionizing radiation administered ranged from 40 to 85 Gy, with different dose fractionations, according to the technique employed.
