[The toxicity pathway, an innovation for managing the toxicity of cancer treatments].

As the number of cancer treatments increases, new specific toxicities are emerging, requiring early and specialized treatment. The Gustave-Roussy center in Villejuif, near Paris, has set up a multidisciplinary toxicity pathway (ImmunoTox multidisciplinary consultation meeting, day hospital, mobile team). This includes an advanced practice nurse to optimize the management of undesirable effects, improve quality of life and mobilize all related skills.

The Effect of Nurse Navigators in Digital Remote Monitoring in Cancer Care: Case Study Using Structural Equation Modeling.

Background: The purpose of digital remote monitoring (DRM) is improving cancer care management. However, its effectiveness largely depends on the role of nurse navigators (NNs) within these systems to process data and lead action.

Objective: This study aims to fill gaps in our understanding of the role of NNs within a specific system, drawing on the Cancérologie parcours région Ile-de-France (CAPRI) DRM program applied to oncology patients.

Digital remote monitoring plus usual care versus usual care in patients treated with oral anticancer agents: the randomized phase 3 CAPRI trial.

Strategies that individualize the care of cancer patients receiving oral anticancer agents offer opportunities to improve treatment adherence and patient care. However, the impact of digital remote monitoring systems in this setting has not been evaluated. Here, we report the results of a phase 3 trial (CAPRI, NCT02828462) to assess the impact of a nurse navigator-led program on treatment delivery for patients with metastatic cancer.

Nurse navigators' telemonitoring for cancer patients with COVID-19: a French case study.

Purpose: The Gustave Roussy Cancer Institute implemented a patient-reported outcome platform (CAPRI-COVID) for cancer patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to quarantine patients at home while ensuring monitoring of COVID-related symptoms and securing the care pathway. In this study, we described the CAPRI-COVID intervention, evaluated its use, and presented results of the tracking indicators with a focus on the nurse navigators' (NNs) activities and the experience of patients.

Methods: Data of 130 cancer patients with COVID-19 diagnosed from March 23 to June 5, 2020, were collected.

[Concrete pain prevention measures regarding hospital internal transport in a cancer center].

Iatrogenic pain is a common problem for cancer patients, including those due to hospital internal transport. An original prospective study conducted in 2006 allowed risk factor identification, and from 2007, a pluri-annual progress plan was implemented. Its actions were systematically evaluated and all phases of transportation reconsidered: preparation, patient transport to and care in medicotechnical units.
