Photocatalysis has emerged as a significant approach for tackling environmental challenges, particularly in removing dye pollutants from water. However, a major obstacle to enhancing the efficiency of photocatalysts is the fast recombination of charge carriers, which hampers the degradation of pollutants. This article is the 13th contribution in the Fungal Diversity Notes series, wherein 125 taxa from four phyla, ten classes, 31 orders, 69 families, 92 genera and three genera are treated, demonstrating worldwide and geographic distribution. The transition metal and base free decomposition method is applicable to N-sulfonylhydrazones generated from a number of aromatic and heteroaromatic aldehydes and ketones. In the case of N-tosylhydrazones derived from O-allyl and O-propargyl salicylaldehydes, selective formation of sulfinate occurs over intramolecular [3 + 2]-cycloaddition reaction.

HIV-1 Tat is a multifunctional regulatory protein that, in addition to its primary function of transactivating viral transcription, also tends to modulate cellular gene expression, for which the molecular mechanism remains to be clarified. We have reported earlier nuclear factor kappa B (NFκB) enhancer binding activity of Tat and proposed this DNA binding activity as a possible molecular basis for Tat-mediated regulation of cellular gene expression in infected cells. In the present study, we analyzed the genome-wide occupancy of Tat protein on host cell chromatin in HIV-1-infected T-cells to investigate a potential role of Tat on cellular gene expression.
