Introduction: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of sotatercept, an activin signaling inhibitor, in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing sotatercept versus placebo in PAH. We calculated pooled risk ratios (RR) and mean differences (MD) with their 95% confidence intervals (CI) using a random-effects model.

Background: Since its definition in 2022, postpancreatectomy acute pancreatitis has been increasingly recognized as a critical postoperative entity, but its clinical significance has not been evaluated through systematic review and meta-analysis. The aim of current study was to evaluate the clinical implications of postoperative hyperamylasemia and postpancreatectomy acute pancreatitis according to the International Study Group for Pancreatic Surgery consensus definition.

Impact of portal/superior mesenteric vein abutment angle on prognosis in pancreatic cancer: a single-center retrospective cohort study.

Purpose: Pancreatic cancer has a poor prognosis; however, the implementation of neoadjuvant treatment enables borderline resectable cases to undergo curative resection and improves the overall survival rate. Attempts have been made to expand the eligibility criteria for neoadjuvant treatment, even in resectable cases. Some studies have suggested a correlation between vein abutment and poor prognosis or that the abutment angle may affect prognosis.
