Platinum and nitrogen co-doped titanium dioxide (Pt/N-TiO, with 1 wt% Pt and an N/Ti molar ratio of 1) has been synthesized. This Pt/N co-doping strategy creates Schottky junctions, reduces the bandgap energy (3.25 to 2.

The total VOC concentration (TVOC) released from an HNB cigarette is compared as a collective group (TV) and as three individual subgroups (TV: TV for 14 standardized VOCs (G), TV for 17 reference VOCs (G), and TV for 10 carbonyl compounds (CCs: G).

In this research, S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts are prepared through the hybridization of nitrogen-rich g-CN with TiO (coded as TCN-(): as the weight ratio of TiO:g-CN). The photocatalytic potential of TCN-() is evaluated against benzene (1-5 ppm) across varying humidity levels using a dynamic flow packed-bed photocatalytic reactor. Among the prepared composites, TCN-(10) exhibits the highest synergy between g-CN and TiO at "" ratio of 10%, showing superior best benzene degradation performance (e.

As they can release various types of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), it is important to assess the harmfulness associated with their use. Thus, the composition of VOCs in HNB cigarette vapor was evaluated to investigate the interactive roles of key variables controlling the relationships between VOC composition and capsule breaking, particularly the compositional changes induced by capsule breaking and release of flavor from FC-HNB cigarettes relative to regular products.

First, AC-1 and AC-2 were produced by the modification of AC-0 with N/S heteroatoms using identical mixture of dicyandiamide and thiourea precursors through either solvothermal (AC-1) or microwave-assisted calcination (AC-2) synthesis. Second, aminosilane-functionalized AC (AC-3) was prepared solvothermally using N-[3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ethylenediamine reagent.

Celiac plexus block (CPB) is one of the main treatment options for patients resistant to conventional antihypertensive drugs. We present a case of resistant hypertension (RHTN) that was treated with CPB using botulinum toxin. An 18-year-old male patient with RHTN, who suffered from persistent hypertension even after combination therapy and a renal denervation procedure, was referred to our pain center for CPB.
