Multiple disparities exist in the built environment for retail tobacco. Disproportionate concentrations of retail outlets result in variation in the availability of tobacco products, consumer access, and exposure to tobacco marketing. Neighborhoods with higher tobacco retail density have higher tobacco use than neighborhoods with lower density.

Scattering experiments using ultrashort X-ray free electron laser pulses have opened a new path for structure determination of a wide variety of specimens, including nanocrystals and entire viruses, approaching atomistic spatial and femtoseconds time resolution. However, random and unknown sample orientations as well as low signal-to-noise ratios have so far prevented a successful application to smaller specimens like single biomolecules. We here present resolution-annealed stochastic gradient ascent (RASTA), a new approach for direct atomistic electron density determination, which utilizes our recently developed rigorous Bayesian treatment of single-particle X-ray scattering.

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) triggering adhesion-related small bowel obstruction (SBO) is rare. The occurrence of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TCM) with an unusually high level of troponin I in the clinical course presents a unique diagnostic challenge. We report the case of a female patient in her 40s who had repeatedly presented to the hospital with abdominal pain and initially showed signs of PID, which later developed to SBO due to adhesions requiring laparotomy.
