Validation of transmetatarsal pressure as an alternative for evaluating severity of chronic limb-threatening ischemia.

IntroductionFew tests are validated for ischemia grading in chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI). An additional, easily accessible and validated technique would be beneficial. This study aimed to determine whether transmetatarsal pressure (TMP) is valid in the evaluation of CLTI ischemia grade.

Testosterone and 17β-estradiol regulate hippocampal area CA3 sharp waves in male and female rats.

Sharp wave-ripples (SPW-Rs) are critical to hippocampal function, and the same is true of gonadal steroids, but the interactions are unclear. We find that surgical removal of the gonads greatly reduces SPW rates in both sexes. Ripples are greatly reduced also.

A Longitudinal Investigation of Trans and Nonbinary Youth Identity: Individual Processes and Family Agreement in the Trans Teen and Family Narratives Project.

Few studies have focused on transgender and nonbinary youths' (TNBY) gender development and even less well understood is how family members understand TNBY identity. The current study investigated: a) how TNBY describe their gender identity over time, and b) how family members understand TNBY gender identity over time. The baseline sample included 96 members of 33 families (33 TNBY, 48 cisgender caregivers, 15 siblings) from the United States; 30 families continued after Wave 1.

Visualization of CO electrolysis using optical coherence tomography.

Electrolysers offer an appealing technology for conversion of CO into high-value chemicals. However, there are few tools available to track the reactions that occur within electrolysers. Here we report an electrolysis optical coherence tomography platform to visualize the chemical reactions occurring in a CO electrolyser.
