Nerve conduction velocity studies are essential to understanding neurological disorders like ALS, Guillain-Barré syndrome, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatic nerve disorders, and multiple sclerosis, which are marked by slowed signal conduction. Various ions in the extracellular space (ECS) and the nerve fiber regulate signal propagation, making it crucial to analyze ECS's impact on signal transmission. This study examines how a non-homogeneous extracellular space affects nerve conduction velocity using a modified cable model that incorporates ECS parameters such as its diameter and resistance.

Previous studies have explored the ability of MHV-A59 or RSA59 to modulate host stress pathways to exert its pathogenic effects. Oxidative and inflammatory stress are critical in neuroinflammation and demyelination, leading to different virus-induced neurodegeneration and associated pathogenesis.

Utilizing a Ramsey-like configuration with two distinct interaction regions, our approach enables continuous field generation; the first region prepares coherent atomic states, while the second region facilitates the generation of the new field via coherent Raman scattering of the applied laser. We demonstrate that the generated and the applied fields exhibit a positive correlation with extended correlation times.

Data from northeastern India remain scarce. This study aims to evaluate the prevalence and specificity of RBC alloantibodies and their clinical associations at a tertiary care center in Meghalaya.

The oxygen evolution reaction (OER) remains a key bottleneck in electrochemical energy storage and conversion. In this work, we demonstrate the transmutation of a Ni-based metal-organic framework (Ni-MOF), composed of one-dimensional Ni-(μ-OH)/(μ-HO)-Ni chains interconnected by 1,4-ndc linker, into catalytically active β-Ni(OH). This top-down reconstruction strategy involves the disintegration of 1,4-ndc linker and transformation of 1D Ni-(μ-OH)/(μ-HO)-Ni chains (which act as precursors), into ultra-low-dimensional (thickness ∼ 1.
