Background: The horticultural nature of growing cannabis is often overlooked in the study of cannabis production, and subsequent policies. Little is known about whether growers' horticultural expertise influences cannabis cultivation methods, the growing of other psychoactive plants, substance use behaviors, or interactions with the criminal justice system. The trajectory of cultivation, in terms of whether cannabis is a gateway to more general gardening, or vice versa, is also unexplored.

Computational competitions are the standard for benchmarking medical image analysis algorithms, but they typically use small curated test datasets acquired at a few centers, leaving a gap to the reality of diverse multicentric patient data. To this end, the Federated Tumor Segmentation (FeTS) Challenge represents the paradigm for real-world algorithmic performance evaluation. The FeTS challenge is a competition to benchmark (i) federated learning aggregation algorithms and (ii) state-of-the-art segmentation algorithms, across multiple international sites.

The rational design of three coordination polymers based on copper(I) iodide, (1D-CuI), (2D-CuI), and (1D-CuI), using new thioether fluorenones, respectively, 2,7-bis(propylthio)-9-fluorenone (), 2,7-bis(4'-methylthiophenyl)-9-fluorenone (), and 2,7-bis(methylthio)-9-fluorenone (), is reported. The identity of the coordination materials is elucidated by using X-ray diffraction techniques. An in-depth photophysical analysis of , , , , , and enabled a rational analysis of the properties of the newly synthesized compounds, which are corroborated by density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) computations.

Introduction: Cannabis is one of the most commonly used psychoactive substances globally. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-intoxicating cannabis compound increasingly used for various purposes, especially among cannabis users. However, to date, there are no data on the relationships between cannabis and CBD motives.

Background: Preclinical models of brain tumors play a fundamental role in understanding tumor biology and deploying anti-tumor strategies. However, preclinical studies evaluate their potential therapy in tumor model without prior resection. Nevertheless, maximal safe resection, the first step in the clinical treatment of glioblastoma (GBM), is known to have a significant effect on adjuvant treatments.
