Purpose: Large B-cell lymphomas (LBCL) are curable, but patients with residual disease after therapy invariably experience progression. Ultrasensitive methods to detect circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) as minimal measurable residual disease (MRD) may improve the determination of remission.
Methods: We integrated data from five prospective studies of frontline anthracycline-based chemotherapy in patients with LBCL.
Post-mortem examinations of elephants in Sri Lanka's Yala National Park morphologically identified amphistome flukes as Pseudodiscus collinsi, a species previously found in Indian elephants. These Sri Lankan worms had 100% ITS-2 sequence identity with that of the Indian P. collinsi Wayanad specimen (GenBank: PQ046280).

Materials And Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were administered adenine (200 mg/kg/day) for 10 days to induce kidney injury, followed by MC-LR (10 μg/mL/kg, i.p.

Background: Human angiostrongyliasis is caused by the rat lung worm, Angiostrongylus cantonensis and is often a cause of eosinophilic meningitis (EOM) or meningoencephalitis. Humans are infected by consuming infective larvae from intermediate hosts (snails and slugs), paratenic hosts or contaminated vegetables. Here, a simple and rapid antibody-detection lateral-flow immunochromatographic test (ICT) was developed as a point-of-care tool for supporting diagnosis of human angiostrongyliasis.

Small molecule solutions to many contemporary societal challenges await discovery, but the artisanal and manual process via which this class of chemical matter is typically accessed limits the discovery of new functions. Automated assembly of (N-methyl iminodiacetic acid) MIDA or (tetramethyl N-methyl iminodiacetic acid) TIDA boronate building blocks via iterative C─C bond formation, an approach we call "block chemistry", alternatively enables generalized and automated preparation of many different types of small molecules in a modular fashion. But in its current form, this engine cannot also leverage nitrogen atoms as iteration handles.
