Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs), condensed tannins found plentiful in grape seeds and berries, have higher bioavailability and therapeutic benefits due to their low degree of polymerization. Recent evidence places OPCs as effective modulators of cancer stem cell (CSC) plasticity and tumor growth. Mechanistically, OPCs orchestrate multi-pathway inhibition by destabilizing Wnt/β-catenin, Notch, PI3K/Akt/mTOR, JAK/STAT3, and Hedgehog pathways, triggering β-catenin degradation, silencing stemness regulators (OCT4, NANOG, SOX2), and stimulating tumor-suppressive microRNAs (miR-200, miR-34a).

Background: Mental health is a global priority concern. The vast majority of people lack the ability to recognize mental illness and tend to have poor knowledge and attitude toward them. Help-seeking preferences even for common mental disorders remain unsatisfactory.

Construction of dansylated (fluorescent) amino acid motifs C(sp)-H arylation.

We describe the construction of a library of novel dansylated (fluorescent) phenylalanine-type unnatural amino acid scaffolds using a Pd(II)-catalyzed C(sp)-H arylation method. A literature survey revealed that, in general, the dansyl moiety is introduced at the N-terminus of amino acids. Various dansylated amino acids and peptides have been used as fluorophores or probes and are known to show promising biological activities.

The duration of antibody production varies across different infections and vaccines. To define molecular programs that promote durable humoral immunity, we used mice deficient in ZBTB20, a transcription factor that is highly expressed by plasma cells and required to maintain antibody production . However, genetic deletion of in long-lived plasma cells had no impact on the duration of antibody production.
