Flooding is a widespread natural disaster that causes tremendous yield losses of global food production. Rice is the only cereal capable of growing in aquatic environments. Direct seeding by which seedlings grow underwater is an important cultivation method for reducing rice production cost.

Data on tuning phase crystal of boron-doped manganese oxide and activation in removal of formaldehyde.

The data in this work provides the effect of aging temperature on manganese oxide allotropes prepared by hydrothermal method in the presence of boron dopant. The synthesized samples were labeled as B/MnO -100, B/MnO -150, and B/MnO -180 corresponding to the hydrothermal temperature at 100, 150, and 180 °C, respectively. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) methods were conducted to clarify the crystalline structure, as well as the amount of potassium, manganese, and boron elements in the three synthesized samples.

The Stability of a Two-Axis Gimbal System for the Camera.

Gimbal or an inertial stabilization platform (ISP) is used to stabilize the line of sight of an object or device that is tracking another object (LOS) with stationary or moving targets or targets moving forward. It can achieve precision when there is isolation between the tracker and the gimbal base. Studying the 2-axis tilt angle to create gimbal stability, especially in a camera, is a compelling subject for the automation field, as it is controlled by modern controllers.

Deficiency of rice hexokinase HXK5 impairs synthesis and utilization of starch in pollen grains and causes male sterility.

There is little known about the function of rice hexokinases (HXKs) in planta. We characterized hxk5-1, a Tos17 mutant of OsHXK5 that is up-regulated in maturing pollen, a stage when starch accumulates. Progeny analysis of self-pollinated heterozygotes of hxk5-1 and reciprocal crosses between the wild-type and heterozygotes revealed that loss of HXK5 causes male sterility.
