Isocitrate dehydrogenase-mutant gliomas are lethal brain cancers that impair quality of life in young adults. Although less aggressive than glioblastomas, IDH-mutant gliomas invariably progress to incurable disease with unpredictable recurrence. A better classification of patient risk of recurrence is needed.

In this work, we focus on tumor cells circulating in the bloodstream, the so-called Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs). Our aim is to characterize their trajectories under the influence of hemodynamic and adhesion forces.

Material And Methods: This retrospective study incorporated 48 tumors, 28 of which were ccRCCs and 20 were oncocytomas. All tumors were less than 4 cm in size and had undergone pre-biopsy or pre-surgery MRI.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the capabilities of radiomics using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data in the assessment of treatment response to yttrium transarterial radioembolization (TARE) in patients with locally advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by comparison with predictions based on European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) criteria.
Patients And Methods: Twenty-two patients with HCC (19 men, 3 women; mean age: 66.7 ± 9.
Cell dynamics in the vicinity of the vascular wall involves several factors of mechanical or biochemical origins. It is driven by the competition between the drag force of the blood flow and the resistive force generated by the bonds created between the circulating cell and the endothelial wall. Here, we propose a minimal mathematical model for the adhesive interaction between a circulating cell and the blood vessel wall in shear flow when the cell shape is neglected.
