Background: Yashad Bhasma (YB), the incinerated metal ash of zinc, has been used for centuries in Ayurveda to address a variety of conditions, including eye diseases, diabetes mellitus, anemia, respiratory illnesses, etc. OBJECTIVE: This research aimed to synthesize and characterize YB and to evaluate its potential antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-angiogenic activities.
Materials And Methods: In this study, YB is synthesized by optimizing the traditional method.
A new synthetic route for the synthesis of Alectinib, which is used as an adjuvant and first line of treatment in ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer, is reported. The developed route starts from readily available starting materials (4-(4-methoxyphenyl)butyric acid or 2-ethyl anisole) and employs Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling and reductive cyclization as key steps. Good yield and no regioisomeric mixture formation are the key highlights of this route.

Background: There have been concerns over the rationality of prescribing practices of fixed-dose combinations (FDCs) available in India. The FDC of domperidone and pantoprazole recently emerged as a top-selling product at Janaushadhi Kendras in India.
Methods: This cross-sectional study is a part of the prescription research which was conducted under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Task Force Project on Rational Use of Drugs at 13 tertiary healthcare centers across the countries that were part of the ICMR-Rational Use of Medicine Centres Network.

Precise detection of antibiotic residues such as chloramphenicol (CAP) remains challenging due to their widespread use in veterinary, food, medical, and environmental sectors. Herein, we report a smartphone-assisted electrochemical sensor with graphene oxide (GO) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for the sensitive detection of CAP. The system integrates with both a traditional Autolab potentiostat and a pocket size Palmsens potentiostat.

In this work, we have developed a scalable and efficient route for the synthesis of a (CeO@CN) nanocomposite by in situ co-pyrolysis of the cerium adipate complex and melamine, followed by acidification and exfoliation of the nanocomposite (CeO@A-gCN) for the degradation of rhodamine (RhB) dye in visible light. The synthesized photocatalysts were characterized by sophisticated techniques: X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, zeta potential, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area measurements, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
