Adapting more sustainable materials like biopolymers to limit environmental pollution has resulted in significant advancements in various fields, particularly in biological science. The present study reports the fabrication and evaluation of the physicochemical properties of Achyranthes aspera leaves (AAL) extract loaded methylcellulose (MC)/chitosan (CS) bioactive films (MAC). FTIR, SEM and XRD results suggested that the AAL extract was compatible with the MC/CS blend and evenly dispersed throughout the MC/CS matrix.

Fungal strains have inspired us to find the untapped sources of secondary metabolites. Corticiolic acid (CA, 2,4-dihydroxy-6-pentadecylbenzoic acid; from fungus, ) is one of the core active scaffolds in natural compounds such as Aquastatin-A, B, & C. CA can also be isolated from the plant .

In this Letter, we disclose the development and exploitation of umpolung reactivity of N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) organocatalysts in generating tetracyclic indole derivatives with the introduction of a cycloheptane ring forming event. The NHC-catalyzed intramolecular vinylogous Stetter, Stetter, benzoin, and formal cross-dehydrogenative coupling transformations have been executed, enabling the construction of 3,4-cycloheptannulated indole derivatives in good to excellent yields. The developed protocols utilize an inexpensive catalyst and feature operational simplicity, atom economy, gram-scale syntheses, and postsynthetic availability.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Diagnosis of Computed Tomography (CT), and Chest X-rays (CXR) contains the problem of overfitting, earlier diagnosis, and mode collapse. In this work, we predict the classification of the Corona in CT and CXR images.

Solar energy as an inexhaustible source of energy has been the primary interest of many researchers for the last four to five decades due to its wide applications such as domestic cooking systems. The current work aims to determine the optimum cooker surface area with the aid of analytical heat loss and design equations. The top, bottom and side heat loss coefficients are calculated by an iterative procedure solved using MATLAB.
