Out-of-equilibrium phases in many-body systems constitute a new paradigm in quantum matter-they exhibit dynamical properties that may otherwise be forbidden by equilibrium thermodynamics. Among these non-equilibrium phases are periodically driven (Floquet) systems, which are generically difficult to simulate classically because of their high entanglement. Here we realize a Floquet topologically ordered state theoretically proposed in ref.

Background: Epilepsy self-management (ESM) by people living with epilepsy (PWE) can reduce seizure frequency and increase quality of life (QOL). ESM among Hispanic PWE is under-investigated and lacks adequate sampling and ESM assessment. The purpose of this study was to assess ESM and associated variables among Hispanic PWE using aggregate data from the Managing Epilepsy Well Network Integrated Database.

Objective: To determine the relative predictive value of the intracarotid amobarbital procedure (IAP), mesial temporal sclerosis (MTS) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography (PET) for long-term (3-years) seizure outcome following neurosurgery for temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE).

Methods: Data from 88 patients with TLE were analyzed. We examined demographic, clinical, and presurgical workup variables in relation to absolute seizure outcome (freedom vs.

Background And Objectives: Meningitis diagnosis requires a lumbar puncture (LP) to obtain cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for a laboratory-based analysis. In high-income settings, LPs are part of the systematic approach to screen for meningitis, and most yield negative results. In low- and middle-income settings, LPs are seldom performed, and suspected cases are often treated empirically.

Unlabelled: There are limited data on psychosocial functioning in young adults with epilepsy (YAWE) despite myriad milestones during this life stage.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze aggregate data from the Managing Epilepsy Well Network Integrated Database (MEW-DB) from 15 studies to examine depressive symptoms and quality of life (QoL) in this understudied population.

Study Aims: (1) describe sociodemographic characteristics and (2) analyze sociodemographic variables and depressive symptoms as predictors of QoL of YAWE.
