Aims: To investigate the distribution of myocardial fibrosis and patterns of tissue characteristics on cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) between athletes with LV dilatation and mild DCM patients.
Methods And Results: We prospectively recruited male cyclists/triathletes aged ≥50y who undertook ≥10h/week of exercise for ≥15y along with age/sex-matched patients with non-ischaemic heart failure (HF). Participants underwent clinical assessment, 12-lead ECG, stress-perfusion CMR with fibrosis assessment and parametric tissue mapping.
We applied the TempO-LINC platform to generate single-cell transcriptomic (SCTr) profiles of ~40,000 HepaRG cells exposed to etoposide, brefeldin A, cycloheximide, rotenone, tBHQ, troglitazone, and tunicamycin at three concentrations for 24 hours. SCTr enabled a detailed analysis of adaptive stress response pathways (SRPs), including the unfolded protein response (UPR), oxidative stress response (OSR), heat shock response (HSR), and DNA damage response (DDR). Troglitazone upregulated lipid metabolism genes (, ) along with HSR and UPR activation, with co-expression of , , and in subsets of cells.

Introduction: Transition of care from hospital is a period when the risks of medication errors and adverse events are high, with 50% of adults discharged having at least one medication-related problem. Pharmacist-led medication reviews can reduce medication errors and unplanned readmission when completed promptly post-discharge; however, they are underutilised. A Transition of Care Stewardship pharmacist has been proposed to facilitate and coordinate a patient's discharge process and facilitate a timely post-discharge medication review.

As data from these targeted sequencing platforms accumulates, it is important to evaluate their similarity to traditional whole transcriptome RNA-seq. Thus, we evaluated the comparability of TempO-seq data from cell lysates to traditional RNA-Seq from purified RNA using baseline gene expression profiles.

Previous studies of its mating system have used microsatellite loci, but low allelic diversity, particularly in self-compatible populations characterized by low levels of outcrossing, reduces the utility of these markers for more detailed studies. Here, we aimed to develop population-level SNP markers for ssp.
