The COVID-19 pandemic impacted the etiological pattern of interstitial lung diseases (ILDs). This study aimed to analyze the profile of ILDs presenting to our department during the pandemic. Specifically, this cross-sectional observational study was conducted with the institute's ethics committee approval in the year 2021-2022.

Introduction: Homelessness embodies a prevalent societal issue that results in extensive socio-economic ramifications. Residential rehabilitation establishments, including shelters and mental health facilities, offer essential assistance to individuals with insecure housing situations. The healthcare providers within these facilities struggle to effectively tackle the underlying issues faced by homeless individuals, often due to a variety of socio-economic factors.

Aim And Objectives: The aim of this study is to assess the prevalence of anemia in individuals with type 2 diabetes and normal kidney function, focusing on blood glucose, serum creatinine, HbA1c, hemoglobin, and hematocrit levels.

Delivering non-communicable disease services through primary health care in selected south Asian countries: are health systems prepared?

In the south Asian region, delivering non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention and control services through existing primary health-care (PHC) facilities is urgently required yet currently challenging. As the first point of contact with the health-care system, PHC offers an ideal window for prevention and continuity of care over the life course, yet the implementation of PHC to address NCDs is insufficient. This review considers evidence from five south Asian countries to derive policy-relevant recommendations for designing integrated PHC systems that include NCD care.

Childhood abuse and intimate partner violence among women with mood disorders.

Background: Mild to moderate association between childhood abuse (CA) and intimate partner violence (IPV) is reported among women from community samples. CA and IPV in clinical samples have shown strong association with adult psychopathology.

Methods: We investigated the association between CA and IPV among women with mood disorders (MD), in comparison with healthy women (HW), at a tertiary mental health centre in India.

Homelessness is considered a serious public health concern. Bidirectional relationship has been established between homelessness and mental illness by research studies and its association with compromised well-being, poor quality of life and low productivity. Recent legislative enactments in India have necessitated on the part of the state to address issues related to the rights of persons with mental illness including shelter and housing.

Effectiveness of NIMHANS ECHO blended tele-mentoring model on Integrated Mental Health and Addiction for counsellors in rural and underserved districts of Chhattisgarh, India.

The present study was conducted to ascertain the effectiveness of Project ECHO, a Hub and Spokes tele-mentoring model to bridge the urban-rural divide in mental health and addiction care in the context of a developing country like India. The Counsellors from 11 rural and underserved districts of Chhattisgarh were periodically connected to NIMHANS multidisciplinary specialists by smartphone app and underwent virtual mentoring to learn and translate "best practices" in Mental health and Addiction by using "patient-centric learning", a core component of NIMHANS ECHO model. The outcome evaluation was modelled on Moore's evaluation framework focusing on participant engagement, satisfaction, learning, competence and performance.

Introduction: There is an unmet need for continuity-of-care is well known for those with severe mental disorders (SMDs) after acute care at hospitals in India. The "Sakalawara Rehabilitation Services (SRS)" functioned from March 2014 at "Sakalawara Community Mental Health Centre" (SCMHC) of "National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences," Bengaluru, India in the concepts of residential care (half-way-home) with the aim to develop a replicable model.

Aim: To review the inpatient records after the initial 2 years of experience in residential care at SCMHC.

Incidence of childhood abuse among women with psychiatric disorders compared with healthy women: Data from a tertiary care centre in India.

Childhood abuse has been recognized as a precursor and a maintaining factor for adult psychopathology. There are very few studies that have investigated the incidence of childhood abuse in adult women with psychiatric disorders. Hence, this current investigation is an attempt to study and compare the incidence of childhood abuse (physical, emotional and sexual) among women seeking treatment for psychiatric disorders to healthy women.
