Purpose: To understand the retina micropathology in a family with a novel variant in .
Methods: Two sisters ages 16 (proband) and 18 years old and their 48-year-old father underwent comprehensive ophthalmic evaluations. Multimodal imaging was performed with spectral domain optical coherence tomography, ultrawide field short-wavelength fundus autofluorescence, and pseudocolor imaging.
Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1)/CCL2, a potent chemokine for myeloid cells, has been associated with disease progression in glaucoma. We examined whether genetic knockout (KO) of MCP-1 affected RGC density and function, retinal myeloid cell density, and pro-inflammatory cytokine expression in the setting of microbead induced hypertensive glaucoma. Adult wildtype (WT) C57BL/6J or MCP-1 KO mice received bilateral injections of either magnetic microbeads to elevate intraocular pressure (IOP) or balanced salt solution (BSS) as normotensive controls.

Methods: Tear break-up time (TBUT), Schirmer test, conjunctival staining, corneal staining, meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), and tear osmolarity were measured at baseline, 3, 6, and 12 months. Intereye agreement was assessed by intraclass correlation coefficient, weighted kappa, and percentage of participants with absolute intereye difference (AID) exceeding a clinically significant threshold (2 points for conjunctival staining and MGD, 2 seconds for TBUT, 3 points for corneal staining, 5 mm/5 minutes for Schirmer test, and 8 mOsms/L for osmolarity).

Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the most common cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL), but little is known about the influence of anatomic location of the primary disease site on overall survival (OS) and disease-specific survival (DSS). The purpose of this study was to examine the significance of primary tumor site on survival in MF. A search of the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database was conducted for patients with a diagnosis of MF with a specified primary site from 2000 to 2019.

Materials And Methods: Between January 2005 and June 2021, 534 patients (310 women and 224 men) with a mean age of 52 years (standard deviation [SD] ± 16 years) presented for complex filter retrieval of 535 tip- or strut-embedded IVC filters. Tip-embedded filters were diagnosed on rotational venography.
