The effect of evaluator presence in simulated scenarios on basic life support: a randomized study.

Objective: To assess the theoretical knowledge of nursing students before and after an educational intervention, investigating the impact of the direct and indirect presence of the evaluator on the students' skills in a simulated clinical scenario of basic life support.

Method: randomized clinical trial, developed between October and December 2023, at a federal university in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Seventy-three fourth-year students were included, with five student losses during the study.

Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Detection of Leprosy in Micro-Regions with a High Risk of Illness in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Background: Leprosy control remains challenging in Brazil and has been aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Objective: To analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the epidemiological scenario of leprosy through the detection rate of new cases, the risk of illness, and the hidden prevalence of leprosy according to high-risk micro-region in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Methods: An ecological study conducted in the health micro-regions of Minas Gerais, using data on new leprosy cases diagnosed between 2015 and 2023.

Leprosy and its impact on the quality of life of people with physical disabilities: a scoping review.

Objectives: to identify and synthesize, from the literature, the impacts of physical disability caused by leprosy on the quality of life of individuals receiving care within the Health Care Network.

Methods: this is a scoping review conducted following the JBI recommendations. The databases used in the search included the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Lilacs, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Scopus, Embase, Leprosy Information Services, and Google Scholar.

Simulation-based training in Leprosy: development and validation of a scenario for community health workers.

Objectives: To build and validate a clinical simulation scenario designed to instruct community health workers (CHWs) in active leprosy case detection.

Methods: Methodological study involving the development of a simulated clinical scenario and content validation by experts. The Content Validity Index (CVI) was used to determine the level of agreement among the judging commitee, and a descriptive analysis of their recommendations was performed.
