This study explores the synthesis, characterization, and potential applications of TiO-doped borate glasses and their glass-ceramics, focusing on their biological and electrical properties. Examining the impact of varying the TiO content on the structural, electrical, and antimicrobial properties of the prepared samples was done. There has been a growing interest in functional foods in recent years to improve health and boost immunity, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic, which reflects their significant role in promoting health and preventing various diseases, especially metabolic disorders. This study investigated the antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticoagulant, and prebiotic activities of six different oils: Calotropis procera oil (CPO), Chia seed oil (CSO), Moringa oil (MO), Neem oil (NO), Black seed oil (BSO), and Wheat germ oil (WGO) and their potential applications in health and nutrition. Nowadays, acid-stable α-amylase demand is increasing in starch liquefaction processes. Four bacterial honey isolates, numbers 2 and 6 showed the highest amylase production on commercial starch as the sole medium component and were immobilized in alginate beads. The highest cell immobilization capacity was obtained by organisms' Bacillus velezensis AMA2 and Bacillus atrophaeus AMA6.

Continue to hypothesize that honey is a storehouse of beneficial bacteria, and the majority of these isolates are levansucrase producers. Accordingly, ten bacterial strains were isolated from different honey sources. The Aspergillus niger NRC1ami pectinase was evaluated according to its hydrolysis efficiency of dry untreated orange peels (UOP), HCl-treated orange peels and NaOH-treated orange peels (HOP and NOP). Pectinase was entrapped in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) sponge and the optimum pH and temperature of the free and immobilized enzymes were shifted from 4, 40 °C to 6, 50 °C respectively. The study of pH stability of free and immobilized pectinase showed that the immobilization process protected the enzyme strongly from severe alkaline pHs.
