Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate changes that may occur in the peripheral vestibular system due to inner ear barotrauma in self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA) divers exposed to hyperbaric environments.

Methods: This prospective study was conducted on 45 healthy volunteers. In this study, after otologic and audiological examinations were performed on two groups as control ( = 24) and SCUBA ( = 21), cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (c-VEMP) were evaluated for peripheral vestibular system functions.

Objective: Nasal Septal Perforation (NSP) is a challenging condition with limited treatment options, often resulting in symptoms like nasal obstruction and epistaxis. Nigella Sativa Oil (NSO), known for its anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties, has shown promise in promoting wound healing. This study aims to investigate the effects of NSO on the wound healing process in an experimental NSP model using rats, exploring its potential as a therapeutic agent for NSP treatment.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of e-cigarette use on nasal mucociliary clearance (NMC) by comparing e-cigarette users, traditional cigarette smokers, and nonsmokers. Although numerous studies have investigated the impact of cigarettes and other tobacco products on mucociliary clearance, research specifically focusing on e-cigarettes is limited.

Methods: The study included 120 healthy participants, comprising 40 electronic cigarette users, 40 cigarette users, and 40 nonsmokers.

Background: This study investigated the therapeutic efficacy of locally applied platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) on experimentally induced traumatic tympanic membrane perforations in rats.

Methods: The study comprised 24 young-adult Sprague Dawley rats (48 ears) randomly allocated into three groups of eight rats each: control group (no intervention), myringotomy group (standard perforation), and myringotomy with PRF application group. Otomicroscopic examinations were performed on days 7 and 14 to evaluate tympanic membrane healing and myringosclerosis development.

Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is a progressive disease characterized by chronic inflammation, which also has negative effects on cochlear functions and hearing levels. We investigated whether the cochlear functions and hearing levels of FMF patients were different than healthy controls and also evaluated the relationship of hearing levels with the age at diagnosis, duration without treatment, and inflammation and lipid parameters in this study. A total of 60 patients diagnosed with FMF and 48 age, gender and body mass index (BMI)-matched healthy controls were included in the study.
