Background: Adjunctive posterior wall isolation (PWI) to pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) has not demonstrated convincing benefit during atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. To provide mechanistic insight for null PWI trials, we undertook Granger causality (GC) analysis of noncontact left atrial (LA) electroanatomic maps.

Objective: This study aimed to apply GC to intracardiac electrograms to uncover patient-specific AF dynamics and describe a proof-of-concept approach to targeted PWI after PVI.

The NRC (2012) requirement estimate for His is approximately 20 g/d for lactating sows. This estimate is based on factorial models and there is limited empirical data available. A total of 88 lactating sows (Line 241, DNA) and their litters were used to evaluate the effects of increasing standardized ileal digestible (SID) His:Lys ratio on sow and litter performance.

Social inequity disrupts reward-based learning.

Through reward-based learning, people learn which actions generate which outcomes in which situations. What happens to human reward-based learning when outcomes are shared? Here we show that learning is impacted by inequity in the distribution of rewards (self-other) and others' identity. In three experiments, participants could learn how different actions, in response to different stimuli, generated different monetary rewards, each split between the participant and a member of a particular social group.

Genomic profiling of cefotaxime-resistant from Norway and Sweden reveals extensive expansion of virulent multidrug-resistant international clones.

Cefotaxime-resistant (CRHI) are a global concern, but little is known about their molecular epidemiology. The goal of this study was to perform genomic profiling of 191 CRHI from Norway ( = 183) or Sweden ( = 8) (2006-2018) and assess clonal spread using core genome multilocus sequence typing (cgMLST)-based Life Identification Number (LIN) codes based on whole genome sequencing (Ion Torrent). Cefotaxime resistance was confirmed with broth microdilution minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC), interpreted with the European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) breakpoints.
