Antibiotic growth promoters (AGPs) are increasingly subject to global regulatory restrictions and consumer pressure, driving the poultry industry toward antibiotic-free production systems. This shift has accelerated the search for effective alternatives, including innovative microbial additives, organic acids, phytogenics, and other bioactive compounds capable of supporting digestive function and enhancing immune competence in poultry. The present study reported the isolation and characterization of a novel Bacillus velezensis strain, BV-OLS1101, possessing robust probiotic attributes and a distinctive capacity to produce a serine protease subtilisin.

Artificial antigen-presenting cells (aAPCs) have the potential to overcome this challenge, but formulating aAPCs without correlating the dynamics of T-cell expansion often leads to suboptimal T-cell responses. Here, we have defined the critical effect of the peptide-major histocompatibility complex (p-MHC) valency displayed along with co-stimulatory molecules on iron-oxide nanoparticle-based aAPCs and demonstrated that the functionality of these aAPCs is governed by the p-MHC valency.

This one-pot transformation provides efficient access to a variety of pharmaceutically relevant heterocycles from readily available indoles under chemical oxidant-free and environmentally benign conditions. The reaction scope is further extended to the cyclization of aromatic amines, yielding amination products in moderate to good yields.

Fruit pomace extracts, rich in natural nutrients and bioactive compounds, have the potential to enhance animal health and mitigate mycotoxin toxicity. This study evaluated a novel liquid anti-mycotoxin solution (LAS), a combination of grape and olive pomace extract administered to broiler chickens through drinking water (2 L:1000 L) for 1-42 days under a natural multi-mycotoxin challenge.

Owing to their long-range transportation potential, PAHs have driven their way from a regional scale to a global platform and become readily available in air, water, sediment, and biota of the most ecologically diverse ecosystems, like wetlands. The wetland ecosystems, due to their susceptibility to anthropogenic activities, face a heightened vulnerability to anthropogenic PAHs pollution.
