Aim: Transforming growth interacting factor (TGIF) is an inhibitor of both transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) and retinoid signaling pathways. Moreover, the activation of MAPK pathway can prolong its half-life. However, its role in carcinogenesis is still unknown.
