Toxicogenomic data provide key insights into molecular mechanisms underlying drug-induced organ toxicities. To simplify transcriptomic data interpretation, we applied weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) to rat kidney transcriptomics data from TG-GATEs (TG) and DrugMatrix (DM), covering time- and dose-response data for 180 compounds. A total of 347 gene modules were incorporated into the rat kidney TXG-MAPr web-tool, that interactively visualizes and quantifies module activity using eigengene scores (EGSs).

Efficient delivery of biomolecules into neurons has significant impacts on therapeutic applications in the central nervous system (CNS) and fundamental neuroscience research. Existing viral and non-viral delivery methods often suffer from inefficient intracellular access due to the endocytic pathway. Here, a neuron-targeting and direct cytosolic delivery platform is discovered by using a 15-amino-acid peptide, termed the N1 peptide, which enables neuron-specific targeting and cytosolic delivery of functional biomolecules.

Here, we describe breast cancer treatment patterns by stage and curative-intent guideline-concordant treatment (GCT) receipt among Malawian women.
Methods: A prospective cohort of breast cancer patients were enrolled from December 2016 to October 2018 at Kamuzu Central Hospital with an assessment of demographics, stage, and treatment received, including neoadjuvant (NAC), adjuvant (AdC) and palliative chemotherapy and breast surgery.
Assessments of a chemical agent's carcinogenicity based on rodent bioassays rely on their appropriate interpretation. This involves attention to study details, including reliable histopathologic diagnoses, and proper statistical analyses, including consideration of multiple comparisons, concurrent and historical controls. A major factor is evaluation of their likely mode of action and the human relevance of any identified tumors.
