Purpose: Tobacco use is not commonly represented as computable information in the electronic health record (EHR). We developed an algorithm in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to identify tobacco ever-use among Veterans.
Methods: We used the VHA corporate data warehouse to develop an algorithm comprised of multiple data types (health factors [semi-structured template data entry and decision support tools], billing, orders, medication, and encounter codes) to identify tobacco ever-use (current or former) versus never use.

We present a 74-year-old female with a history of mechanical aortic and mitral valve implantation and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. She presented with right sided heart failure due to severe functional tricuspid regurgitation and was treated with transcatheter TricValve bicaval system implantation. However, this was complicated by a paravalvular leak of the inferior vena cava prosthesis.

While adapting to future sea-level rise (SLR) and its hazards and impacts is a multidisciplinary challenge, the interaction of scientists across different research fields, and with practitioners, is limited. To stimulate collaboration and develop a common research agenda, a workshop held in June 2024 gathered 22 scientists and policymakers working in the Netherlands. Participants discussed the interacting uncertainties across three different research fields: sea-level projections, hazards and impacts, and adaptation.

In patients with prior coronary artery disease (CAD), detecting hemodynamically significant CAD using hyperemic myocardial blood flow (hMBF) is complicated by diffuse CAD and microvascular disease. In these patients, RFR may improve the diagnostic performance of myocardial perfusion imaging.

The insulating nature of the linkers results in separate, partially overlapping blue and yellow-orange emissions from the peripheral and central TATs. This renders 1 a multicolor emitter, whose emission color can be tuned by the choice of the excitation wavelength and the solvent.
