Using data recorded on ergocycle and at the National Velodrome of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, either during training sessions or during the 2022 World Championships, we first carry out an experimental study of the decay over time of the power produced by a sprinter. We then develop a theoretical model for the power output based on the definition of an effective time to account for fatigue. Comparisons between the predictions of the model and the experimental data show a good agreement in all the conditions tested, both on ergocycle and in the velodrome.

Both isometric and dynamic testing are essential for a comprehensive assessment of the knee extensors. J Strength Cond Res XX(X): 000-000, 2025-The improvements of measurement tools and data analysis enhanced our possibilities to assess neuromuscular performance, but also created confusion regarding significance and practical applications of this available information.

Ground reaction forces are fundamental in controlling these interactions, yet surprisingly little research exists characterising 3-D turn kinetics. This study aimed to profile the evolution of ground reaction forces and torques signatures applied by skiers during turning and explore their link with giant slalom performance.

Six force-velocity-position Fv,p models, integrating three Fv (Anderson, Hill, and Linear) and two Fp (Cosine and Quadratic) models were assessed. Fifteen trained CrossFit athletes performed maximal countermovement jumps under varying loads and push-off depths with ground reaction forces recorded via force plates.

Methods: Right-leg knee extensors were tested in 64 healthy and active participants (31 F and 33 M). MVT and RTD were obtained under isometric conditions.
