We report the discovery and comprehensive characterization of the octahydrate phase of magnesium pyrophosphate, MgPO·8HO, synthesized via aqueous reactive crystallization of magnesium chloride and sodium pyrophosphate in Tris buffer at pH 8. While MgPO·3.5HO and MgPO·6HO readily form under these conditions, the octahydrate appears only rarely.

Background: COVID-19 pandemic had a variable impact on the severity of melanomas.
Objective: To assess the role of the COVID-19 pandemic in France on the severity of melanomas at initial diagnosis.
Methods: New melanoma cases recorded in the French RIC-Mel database were included in a retrospective study spanning three timeframes: pre-COVID (01/01/2018 to 03/16/2020), lockdown (03/17/2020 to 10/05/2020), and the COVID pandemic period (hereafter referred to as "COVID") (11/05/2020 to 30/09/2022).

We report the first paramagnetic boron tetraradical, comprising four boraphenanthrene-type units with boryl radical centers bridged by a central tetraphenylethene (TPE) linker. With strongly π-accepting and sterically demanding cyclic(alkyl)(amino) carbene ligands (), spin densities localize on the boron-carbene fragments (92%), consistent with a true boron-centered tetraradical. Magnetic measurements of reveal minimal spin-spin coupling, consistent with four noninteracting = 1/2 centers.

The HAL® Lumbar Type Exoskeleton is a wearable assistive technology designed to reduce strain on the lower back during physically demanding care activities. However, evidence regarding its feasibility, usability, and acceptance in real-world long-term care settings remains limited.

While its effects on academic and occupational functioning are well established, less is known about how ADHD traits relate to financial behaviours, particularly in high-risk contexts such as online trading. This cross-sectional study examined associations between ADHD traits and financial decision-making in a sample of 945 active online traders.
