Biclustering has gained interest in gene expression data analysis due to its ability to identify groups of samples that exhibit similar behaviour in specific subsets of genes (or vice versa), in contrast to traditional clustering methods that classify samples based on all genes. Despite advances, biclustering remains a challenging problem, even with cutting-edge methodologies. This paper introduces an extension of the recently proposed Spike-and-Slab Lasso Biclustering (SSLB) algorithm, termed Outcome-Guided SSLB (OG-SSLB), aimed at enhancing the identification of biclusters in gene expression analysis.

A T cell receptor (TCR)-based CD3 bispecific, tebentafusp, delivers clinical benefit in patients with metastatic uveal melanoma. Understanding the molecular basis for the anti-tumor activity of tebentafusp in an indication where checkpoint inhibitors are ineffective could aid in identification of other solid tumor indications where CD3 bispecifics may serve an unmet need.

However, the growth in availability of high-dimensional categorical data, including 'omics data, necessitates computationally efficient clustering algorithms. We present VICatMix, a variational Bayesian finite mixture model designed for the clustering of categorical data.

However, using anxiety-inducing movie clips to probe relevant states impacted by psychopathology could risk exacerbating in-scanner movement, decreasing signal quality/quantity and thus statistical power. This could be especially problematic in target populations such as children who typically move more in the scanner.

In the current study we accessed mucoralean fungi isolated from two countries on opposite sides of the Earth and in different hemispheres: South Korea and Brazil. isolates were obtained from freshwater, soil, invertebrates, and fruit seeds and identified using phenotypic techniques combined with the DNA sequence data.
