Introduction: Despite a growing number of older lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) adults in the United States, education on care for this vulnerable population has historically been inadequate across all levels of training. This research assessed the extent of LGBTQ education in geriatric medicine fellowship curricula across the United States.
Methods: We designed a survey to anonymously collect information from geriatric medicine fellowship programs on LGBTQ curricular content.
Maintaining rich biodiversity and being a habitat and resource for humans, tropical forests are one of the most important global biomes. These forest ecosystems have been experiencing a host of unregulated anthropogenic activities including illegal tourism, and shifting cultivation. The presence of human-habitats in the restricted zones of forest ecosystems is a direct indicator of the human activities that may accelerate deterioration of forest quality by area and tree species composition.

Various diseases and deficiency disorders impact the rice crop's growth, thereby hampering the rice yield. Therefore, proper crop monitoring is very important for the early diagnosis of diseases or deficiency disorders.

Purpose: Neonatal skin care practices guided by personal experience and preferences might be substantially different across different hospital settings. The aim of this consensus recommendation is to provide clinical practice guidance to healthcare practitioners on evidence-based neonatal skin care practices from delivery-to-discharge, in hospital settings.
Patients And Methods: A Scientific Advisory Board meeting on "Evidence-based Neonatal Skin Care Practices and Protocols" was held in December 2020 with an expert panel comprising neonatologists, pediatricians, obstetricians and gynecologists and pediatric dermatologist.
Introduction: Synovial chondromatosis is a rare benign tumor involving the major joints. This condition results from metaplasia of synovium into chondrocytes leading to formation of multiple loose bodies. Extra articular glenohumeral joint synovial chondromatosis involving long head of biceps is very rare.

Here, our goal was to report the preparation of novel protein/lipid hydrogels and demonstrate their utility in two orthogonal fundamental studies-light harvesting and white-light emission. Our hydrogels contained up to 90% water, while also being self-standing and injectable with a syringe.

During early mitosis, nucleolin is required for equatorial mitotic chromosome alignment prior to metaphase. Using high resolution fluorescence imaging, we reveal that nucleolin is required for multiple centrosome-associated functions at the G2-prophase boundary.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA global consensus has not yet been reached regarding the preference for off-pump versus on-pump coronary revascularization. Although the coronary trial indicates that the secondary endpoint outcomes favor on-pump surgery, the cost-effectiveness and significantly lower immediate and early complications in off-pump surgery make it favorable for the Indian population. To analyze patients who underwent coronary revascularization, specifically coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), a retrospective five-year study was conducted.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted among liver disease patients of various etiologies undergoing transient elastography (TE) over a 9-year duration.
Results: Data for 2886 patients were analyzed and had the following demographics: The median age was 60 (IQR: 45-69) years, 51% were males, and ethnicity was predominantly Chinese (52.
Background The variability in hemodynamic responses to isometric handgrip exercise in people with different body mass indices (BMIs) is noteworthy due to the frequent incidence of hypertension, obesity, and related cardiovascular illnesses in India. This investigation may be necessary to anticipate and prevent excessive heart strain during static activities. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of isometric handgrip exercise on cardiorespiratory responses in an Indian population with varying BMI levels.

We present real-world data from 7,000 patients who underwent SCSeval while utilizing a mobile digital health platform for education, feedback, and outcomes collection during their surgical journey. We analyzed preoperative patient demographics, characterized patient pain profiles using the patient-reported outcomes measurement information system-29 surveys, and calculated the rates of conversion from temporary to permanent spinal cord stimulation (SCS) implantation.

As molecular test cases, we calculate the energy curve of H4 and the relative energies of ozone and singlet molecular oxygen with respect to triplet molecular oxygen, which is industrially relevant in organic oxidation reactions. We find that trial wave functions beyond single Slater determinants improve the performance of AFQMC and allow it to generate energies close to chemical accuracy compared to full configuration interaction or experimental results.

Telemedicine-based consultation gained its long-due importance during the COVID-19 travel restriction, despite its existence for a long. The authors intend to share the utility and growth of the initial six years of live telepsychiatric DVCs from an academic hospital in India and also plan to understand the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on its growth and report findings from an innovative "benefits of savings" (BOS) analysis from these clinics.

The clinical outcomes of prisoners with mental illness have not been widely studied, especially in developing countries. This study was conducted to assess the same among male inpatients under judicial custody with charges of homicide.

The cutoff score for benchmark disability is 7. India has adopted International Classification of Functioning and Health (ICF) and thereby is a signatory to use World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS).

For the successful integration of mental health into primary health care, proper training and education of primary care professionals are mandatory. Primary care nurses are in an excellent position to screen, identify, dual collaboration for treatment planning/referral, and follow-up of persons with mental illness (PMI), but they often lack the confidence and competence to tackle mental health problems.

The biological effects of coumarins, one of the most researched compounds among NPs, are currently being thoroughly investigated. In the present investigation, we reported the synthesis of nineteen semi-synthetic 3-substituted scoparone analogues, followed by their characterization using analytical methods such as NMR, HPLC, and HRMS.

Access to the odontoid process was gained through the endonasal corridor using an inverted U-shaped nasopharyngeal flap (IUNF). Post-operatively, the patient experienced resolution of her presenting neurologic symptoms but developed conductive hearing loss secondary to bilateral middle ear effusion, requiring bilateral myringotomy and tube placement 3 months post-operatively.

Majority of the cases are due to homozygous or compound heterozygous mutations in MPL gene encoding for thrombopoietin (THPO) receptor protein. CAMT can be diagnosed at early phase of life, with major complication of transfusion dependency and hematopoietic transplantation as only curative treatment.

Replication fork stalling at sites of transcription compromises chromosome replication fidelity and can induce DNA damage with potentially deleterious consequences for genome stability and organismal health. The block to DNA replication by the transcription machinery is complex and can involve stalled or elongating RNA polymerases, promoter-bound transcription factor complexes, or DNA topology constraints.
